A Nikan's Patient is a Member of our Family

history

From 1990s, costumer – oriented and patient – centered approach along with increase in quality of health service became the policy of health system of our country.

This new and modern approach; in which the patient, the personnel, and the medical staff as well as the client were considered the center of services, attracted so many managers and became the basis for costumer –oriented culture in hospitals. But lack of sources, strict and tough rules and bureaucratic structure of state hospitals made it really hard to train the medical staff and administrate such an approach. In the meantime some physicians and managers of Milad Hospital who had experienced such a system and confirmly believed in administrating this system decided to found a hospital, a hospital in which a patient is considered as a member of their family and will receive kind, different, and compassionate services. They found a hospital on a basis of tenderness for society, colleagues and patients and named it ‘Nikan

.They bought the field of the hospital in the year 2005 and the construction lasted till 2010. On Jun , 27th , 2011 ; which was prophet Muhammad’s First Revelation , the hospital was opened to ease the patient’s pain 

Dr. Tabesh; the Managing Director of the hospital, in his specific interview with Soroush Magazine in Aug2011, elaborated their motive for opening Nikan Hospital:”The missing link in our health system is lack of tenderness and sympathy. When  patients go to a medical center expect more respect and kindness in comparison with other organizations, just because they are worried about their health which is their most precious property 

I believe that kindness is an emotion that is conveyed through our sight, speech, and behavior….and our ultimate goal is to make our personnel believe in tenderness. If we believe in that we have to love and respect everyone and everything then we will respect the nature and never pollute environment,  take care of our resources and never waste them,  will be kind to our patients and calmly try to ease their pain, choose the best remedy for our illness, will be kind to our colleagues and love each other like a family member. In this way our hospital can reach to its goal “

We began our desired and ideal health service on Jun, 27th, 2011 when the first patient was hospitalized at Nikan. Also, in the first year of evaolution, Nikan got the first rank in Accreditation and Patient safety and became the first private hospital in Iran to get the Green Award International certification in Other Ways Institute international Conference in Berlin 2014. We continue our way in our pre-determined path to reach our ultimate goals
